Throughout the semester we worked through familiar, new, and abstract views of the words “Humanities” and “Revolution”. Words that are extremely common and yet when trying to define, are remarkably ambiguous. These definitions have developed and transformed through different lectures, experiences, and scholarly discussions. The more familiar I believe I am with these terms, the more they seem to elaborate and change. While these are simply my working definitions, they have been influenced and inspired by the thought provoking and, often times, uncomfortable conversations I’ve had in Humanities.
